In 1981 they launched their first magazine and there was not even a skater on the cover, now in 2020 it is the largest skateboard magazine and media medium in the world. It is also the longest running skateboard magazine to live up to the nickname "The Bible" of skateboarding.
Thrasher grew up with California punk and hardcore culture and became a part of this subculture. Back in the 90s, everyone from the Beastie Boys to Sonic Youth wore Thrasher clothes and appeared in the magazine.
Today Thrasher is here to stay and ready to bash any fads or cheap trends out of the park.
